Week 4- Rolling operation
Aim of this Analysis:
To Simulate the Rolling operation on a workpiece made up of copper and evaluate the results for random 14 analysis steps.
Find out :
1. Equivalent stress for the whole setup.
2. Equivalent Plastic Strain for the workpiece.
3. Directional Deformation in the Z axis for the workpiece.
4 Prove that the workpiece has displaced by 90 mm.
Objective:
Rolling is metal forming process in which metal stock is passed through rollers to reduce the thickness of the metal to achieve required shape of the part. There are two types of
rolling Hot Rolling and Cold Rolling operation. Due to which a material will develop stress and strain in the rolling part with this analysis we can know if the material selected
for the rolling operation is suitable or not. And after rolling operation if it can be used in the further process for the development.

Results Summary:
1. Equivalent stress for the whole setup -

2. Equivalent Plastic Strain for the workpiece-

3. Directional Deformation in the Z axis for the workpiece -

4 Prove that the workpiece has displaced by 90 mm.
With finer mesh the deformation of 84.5 mm is achieved which is within the 1% of 90 mm.
