AIM:To calculate section classification of following beam shapes

PROCEDURE:

RESULT: The beams have been classified according to Table 2 IS 800 .

AIM: To calculate effective length.

PROCEDURE:

a) Effective length of top chord 1= 0.85L1

Effective length of top chord 2= 0.85L2

Effective length of vertical member= 0.85L3

Effective length of inclined member= 0.75L4

b) Length of Rafter= 20.7m

Effective length of rafter=0.85L=0.85x20.7=17.6m

RESULT: The effective length of beams has been calculated according to Table 16 IS 800.

AIM:To calculate deflection at the centre of the beam.

PROCEDURE:

RESULT: The deflection of given beams has been calculated.

AIM: To design channel purlin.

PROCEDURE:

RESULT: The channel purlin has been designed according to IS 800.
