Q1.

  • WASHING MACHINE:-
  • PROCEDURE:-
  • Working principle of a washing machine:-

A washing machine by spining at 800-1600 rpm helps soap and dirt with it to leave the surface of the clothe via centrifugal force and into outlet pipes hence utilizing centrifugation to both clean and partially dry the clothes loaded in it. Thus the processors are electrically controlled, such as drum, valves, pump, motor and heating. The water drains out of the drums, The pump works to help get rid of water. The valve lets clesn water in again into the drums. The four process are:

  1. SOAKING:- It is used to dip clothes in detergent water to remove dirt from the clothes, In this customer need to select soak from a panel. Soak-this function is available with wash timer. In 42 min of washing 27min is soak and 15 min machine will wash the clothes.
  2. WASHING:- During the wash cycle, a large plastic agitator (green) turns around, Moving your clother through the water. When the wash is finished. The pump drains the water from the outer drum.
  3. RINSHING:- The dirty, Soapy water is drained, then the washing machine is refilled and your clothes are " rewarded" is clean water. Spin: All the water is drained completely. Then your clothes are spun very fast and excess water is removed thanks to centrifugal force.
  4. DRYER:- They work by pushing warm dry air through yours wet washing to extract moisture, then cooling the now humid air in a heat exchanger to condense the moisture, which is collected in a tank or pumped down the drain. The (now dry) air is reheated and the cycle repeats.
  • STATE FLOW:- Systematic solution of a problem possible with sequential, Unambigious and relizable finite process step set. This set is called " algorithm" and it is one of the most important part of the programming languages. In this study, it is represented how to learn algorithm by using simulink state flow. In flow diagram based algorithm learning.
  • BLOCK USED IN LOGIC SIMULATION:-
  1. State flow:- A state flow chart can be used as the action language to implement control logic.

2. Constant block:- Constant values are added here.

3. Display block:- The display block is used to display the final output of the function.

4. Lamp:- The lamp block displays a color indicating the value of the input signal.

  • CONTROL LOGIC OF WASHING MACHINE:-

The two inputs are given for the power and water supply. Once the inputs are given outputs are displayed by the flow chart as per the given sequence. The system are observed for sometime is cheeked and the process is completed by green light as displayed and washing,Rinshing and drying are red light shown.

Q2.

  • GEAR SHIFT LOGIC:-
  • GEAR SHIFT LOGIC MODEL WITH STATE FLOW:-

  • BLOCK USED IN CONTROL LOGIC MODEL:-
  1. Slider switch:- The slider switch block toggles the value of the connected block parameter between two values during simulation.

2. Slider:- The slider block tunes the value of the connected block parameter during simulation.

3. Constant block:- Constant values are added here.

4. Display:- The display block is used to display the final output of the function.

5. State flow chart:- A state flow chart can be used as the action language to implement control logic.

6.Lamp:- The lamp block displays a color indicating the value of the input signal.

    • Explaination:-
  1. Assigning the parameters for the slider block as given below.

Connected to a constant named " Accelarator speed".

2. The state flow chart is having two inputs which are speed and engine. The speed input is connected with a constant named " Ignition ON/OFF" constant. The "Ignition ON/OFF constant. The"Ignition ON/OFF" constant is connected to slider switch.

3. In state flow chart, cheeking ignition condition. we take "engine as input giving the condition as "engine==0" this will execute when the constant value is 0 that is when the vehicle is turned off and another condition as " engine==1" this will execute when the constant value is 1 that is when the vehicle is turned on.

4. After the ignition condition is turned on the state flows to the next processes. Speed condition the processes. speed condition the process flows to the next block. All the condition have been assigned to each block.

5. The state flows chart has 5 outputs around "gear1", "gear2", "gear3", "gear4", "gear5", these outputs are connected to the display blocks.

6. The display blocks connected with the lamp to indiacte which gear on.

  • WHEN SPEED 0 TO 15 :

  • WHEN SPEED 16 TO 25 :

  • WHEN SPEED 26 TO 40 :

  • WHEN SPEED 41 TO 60 :

  • WHEN SPEED ABOVE 60 :

  • RESULT:-

Simulation of gear shift corresponding to the given speed range have been simulated successfully.
