  • Simulink Model Explanation:-
  1. The pulse generator is use to create square wave pulse at regular intervals. The block waveform parameters amptitude. Pulse width, period and phase delay. determine the shape of the output waveform. Pulse generator parameter setting with phase delay 2 sec and scope are shown below:

b. The switch block used is controlled by external physical signal/ if the external signal is greater than the thresold parameter then the switch is open.

c. The positive terminal of the switch is connected to switch and the negetive terminal is connected to the electrical reference.

d. The solenoid block is connected with switch and battery and we will get a complex electrical circuit. The port c is connected with mechanical reference.

e. The ideal translational sensor is connected with solenoid block R to observe the movement of the plunger.

f. Scope is connected with the ideal translational sensor to get the output.

g. ps-simulink converter is used to convert the physical signal to simulink signal.

f. Simulink -ps converter is used to convert the simulink signal to physical signal.

h. Solver configuration: Each physical network represented by a connected simscape blocks requires solver setting information for simulation.

  • RESULT OUTPUT:-

  • CONCLUSION:-

Giving input as time period for 2 seconds in the pulse generator to open & close the switch. When the switch is closed the solenoid block received electrical power from the battery and plunger moves from port R to C to hit the bell & provide sound.

Physical movement of the plunger is observed by using translational motion sensor & physical output is converted into simulink output model is displayed in the scope.

THERMISTER MODEL:-

  • BLOCK USED IS THERMISTER MODEL:-

1. Signal builder:- 3ut:-

at point 1- time 0 second- Tempratire- 293K,

at point 2- time 10 second- Temprature- 293K,

at point 3- time 10 second- Temprature- 300k,

at point 4- time 30 second- Temprature- 300k,

at point 5- time 30 second- Temprature- 296K,

at point 6- time 50 second- Temprature- 296k.

here are symbol and signal graph shown below,

2. Simulink-ps converter:- it is used to convert to convert the simulink signal to physical signal.

3. Controlled temprature source:- The controlled temprature source block represented and ideal source of thermal energy that is powerful enough to mainatain specified temprature difference across the source regardless of the heat flow consumed by the system.

connection A & B are thermal conserving ports corresponding to the source inlet and outlet, respectively. Port S is a physical signal port, through which the control signal that drives the source is apllied.

4. Thermister:- A thermister is a type of resistor whose resistance is dependent on temprature, more so than is standard resistors. the word is a combination of thermal and resistor.

The thermal block represntes and NTC - negetive Temprature co-efficient.

5. Voltage source:- The voltage source block implements a voltage source with dc, ac and noise components.

6. Resistor:- The resistor block models a linear resistor, described with the following equation:

V=IR

Where, V- Voltage,

I- Current,

R- Resistance.

7. Voltage sensor:- The voltage sensor block represnteds and ideal voltage sensor, that is a device converts voltage measured between two points of an electrical circuit into physical signal proportional to the voltage.

8. Electrical reference:- The electrical reference block represents an electrical ground. Electrical conserving parts of all the blocks that are directly connected to ground must be connected to an electrical elements must contain at least one electrical reference block.

9. Solver configuration:- Each physical network represented by a connected simscape blocks requires solver setting information for simulation.

10. switch,

11. ps- simulink converter:- ps-simulink converter is used to convert the physical signal to simulink signal.

  • EXPLAINATION OF MODEL:-

Input are given to signal the signal builder and connected with temprature controlled source for maintaining the specified temprature difference across the source. The input temprature flows through termistor. Thermister is connected with resistor, ensure that thermister connected with positive terminal of the resistor and the voltage across the resistor is given by V(+) - V(-), and the sign of the current is positive when flowing through the device from the positive to the negetive terminal. This connection ensures that the power absorbed by a resistor is alaways positive. Connect the positive terminal of voltage source to positive terminal of the thermistor and connect the negetive terminal of voltage source to negetive terminal of voltage sensor and resistor to get the values from the voltage sensor( like series connection). output terminal of the voltage sensor is connected with switch parameter for giving the condition as fan must be ON if the temprature above 25 degree celcious, OFF otherwise. Output is Successfully executed by connecting with scope as per the given condition.

  • When below temprature 298.15k:

  • when temprature above 298.15k:
