Week - 4

1) Explanation for control logic of a washing machine using stateflow:

Step1: create a chart in simulink blank model and enter the given input conditions.

• if the power supply is given the system gets activated
• if the power supply is not available, stop the process & indicate thriugh LED
• soaking time is 200s followed by washing times is of 100s.
• then rinsing happens for next 20s &dryer runs for 50s
  

Step2: After all the inputs enterd in chart , Go to the symbols pane and assign the given variable.eg: input and output data.

Step3:given the input values for turning on or off for the power supplyand water supply

conditions: if X=0 power and water supply will turn on, if X=1 power and water supply will turn off.

Step4: use display block and lamp indicator to display the results.

2) Explanation for gear shifting mechanism using simulink:

Srep1: create the chart and enter the given conditions to shift gears.

condition: Speed range(kmph) gear

0 to 15 1

16 to 25 2

26 to 40 3

41 to 60 4

above61 5

Step2: after entering the input, go to the symbols pane and assign the variables.

Step3: Connect the slider gain block to the chat and to change the speed while simulation is running
