Week - 4 - 2D meshing for Plastic components

Aim:

To do 2d meshing of bottle cap

Procedure:

1)import the given geometry which is given in IGS file format

2)Identify the base portions in the geometry

3)extract the midsurface of base portions

4)Group all the midsurfaces into one area which is saved as storelock file.

5)Threaded portions are captured through drawing curves by curve middle options

6)Teethed portions are captured through Transform-copy-rotate options

7)outside ribs are captured by extracting midsurface through face middle options.

8)all midsurfaces are gruoped in one storelock files

9)Finally 2d shell meshes were created.
