2D meshing for Plastic components
ANSA Batch 1
Aim: Check for the Geometrical errors, taking the mid surface and meshing the given Plastic Bottle Cap model with the given Element Quality criteria.
Given sheet metal model: Plastic Bottle cap model
Given quality criteria:

Procedure:
1. Give the cons resolutions and give the length
2. Give the Topo if necessary
3. Give the mesh parameters and quality criteria
Quality Criteria:

4. Check for Geometrical errors and fix them.
5. Use casting and give the minimum thickness and Target element length.
After Casting there must be a lot of errors and issues that we will face.
6. After Casting, use the Aling manager to Define the Area and perimeter, ensure that the areas are given in the Middle in the Aling manager and the Perimeters are given in the Faces in Align Manager.
Using align manager we have to correct the areas.
Open align manager and select the area and click the new then middle
Now select any one surface of the are and give next
now select the other end of the area and give middle mouse click
Now we can see the whole area is formed as Middle
To Create the Perimeter here the below dig we can see the perimeter is not in a single con
Click the perimeters give new and select faces and middle mouse click
now select the surfaces and give middle mouse click
now we can see it is get corrected
7. If there is no Casting formation, we can go to the Topo module Curve group and Create an option or middle option and create the curve at the middle of the component according to the casting then Fill it.
Here the casting an some error so we use the fill option to fill it
The fill option is in the Shell mesh group and it is in the Mesh module
Select the edges and click ok so it will fill.
