Week 3 Sheet metal Bending challenge
Aim-To simulate the sheet metal bending for the thrre differnt materials.
Procedure-
1.we will assign the materials allunium 1199 by duplicating the allunium alloy and we add magnesium nollinear and the copper nonlinear to the engineering materils
2.we rename the compoments as sheet,die and the punch and we add allumnium 1199 to the shhet and structurtal sttel to the die and the punch.
3.we delete the default contact and we create the manual contact and one is puch and sheet and other contact sheet and die with frictional coeeficient of .1.
4.we craete the bodysizing beween puch and die with the elment size of 4mm and we provide the facing of 1mm beween the die and the sheet and and body sizing of 1mm to the shet.

5.we provide displacement to the punch in -y diraction. and we should -ve dipl;acement for the sheet for last two steps becuse the puch has to come to its orignal position.
6.we provide the dispalcement to the shhet in z axies all the steps are given zero.
7.we provide number of steps to 10 in analysis settings.
Results

For copper NL

For maganesium alloy

| Material | Equivalent stress | Equivalnet strain | Total Deformation | |
| Allunium 1199 | 653.960. | 0.0015961 | 13.43 | |
| copper NL | 133.9 | 0.001796 | 12.961 | |
| MAgnesium NL | 89.808 | 0.00278 | 12.104 | |
conclusion-
for allunimu 1199 we have more equivalent stress and for magnesium alloy we have mimiumum stress hence magnesium is the best material for the sheet metal.
case2-Case 2:With the material as Aluminium Alloy, change the friction coefficient to 0.19 and run the analysis as mentioned in Case 1. Compare the results with that in case 1.

| friction | Stress | strain | Total deforamation | |
| 0.1 | 63.396 | 0.00156 | 13.413 | |
| 0.19 | 59.41 | 0.00159 | 13.55 |
conclusion
As the friction increa se the stress increases and the deformation increases for the same material.
case3

| stress | Deformation | strain | ||
| 57.423 | 13.386 | 0.001705 | ||
| 63.396 | 13.355 | 0.00156 |
coclusion as the mesh is refined stress develoed is less and the deformation increses.
