Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool

Aim : To Use ADVISOR tool and simulate.

1). For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle?

The load file is changed to Ev_defaults_in and changed the cargo mass to 500 kg everything else is kept constant.

Now the drive cycle is changed to CYC_FTP

2. In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.

The battery capacity has been changed from 25 to 35

we now see the total no of kms has increased over the past

3. Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file :

keeping the time as constant and we have changed the speed to 30 mph. now gradeability is 14.7%

keeping the time as constant and we have changed the speed to 40kmph. now gradeability is 11.7%

keeping the time as constant and we have changed the speed to 60kmph. now gradeability is 8.1%

as the speed increases the gradeability also decreases.
