1. For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.

For 1 drive cycle the vehicle travel only 17.8km with the use of 45% of SOC

For 2 drive cycle the vehicle travel only 35.5km with the use of 70-80% of SOC

For 3 drive cycle the vehicle travel only 41.4km with the use of 100% of SOC

Therefore,

vehicle can't travel for 45km with FTP because it uses all the energy at 41.4km

2. In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.

By changing battery capacity from 25->> 30

then the vehicle travel 49km for 3 drive cycles and above for further changes.

3. Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file

Compare your results in table and conclude.

For 10sec duration

i)speed 30mph

GRADEABILITY: 14.7%

ii)speed 40mph

GRADEABILITY: 11.4%

iii) speed 45mph

GRADEABILITY: 10.7%

iv) speed 50mph

GRADEABILITY: 9.7%

For 10seconds duration

Therefore when the speed is increasing gradeability is decreasing

it will be same for different durations

when the speed is high a decrease in gradeability will b seen.
