Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
1.
Here we perform the operation using ADVISOR (Advanced Vehicle Simulator) tool to get the desired output by simulating EV_defults_in file.
It has rapid analysis of performance.
Now we install the ADVISOR in matlab and by opening it we go to the desired file then by changing the cargo mass to 500 as before its was 138 and by remaining as default we proceed to continue and then a 2nd tab open where we find the drive cycle .
Then in drive cycle we change the cycle to CYC_FTP and no of cycles to 4 after that we hit the run button.
Hence, for EV_defaults_in file , if cargo mass is changed to 500 by maintaining all other parameter same we conclude that vehcile cant drive upto 45km ,its starts decharging from on itself to 25.7km after that it comes to rest.
Schreeshot are taken and uploaded below.
2.
Here we changed the battery capacity by ramaining all same value for other parameter.
i)
In case one we changed the battery capacity to 30 (Default-25) remaining same the drive cycle and no of cycle is changed to 3.
ii)
In case two it changed to 40 unit by remaining all same as case i .
Therefore, here we conclude that by changing the battery unit by other dafault we can go up to more distances .
Simulation are repeated and Outputs are uploaded.
3.
Here we asked to load PIRUS_Jpn_defaults_ file and look in to the gradeability of the system.
File uploaded below

CASE 1:
Speed-10 mph
Duration-10 s
Output uploadd below

The gradeability at 10 mph is 30.3%.
CASE 2:-
Speed-40 mph
Duration-10 s
Output uploadd below

The gradeability at 40 mph is 11.7% .
CASE 3:-
Speed-80 mph
Duration-10 s
Output uploadd below

The gradeability at 80 mph is 4.5% .
CASE 4:
Speed-100 mph
Duration-20 s
Output uploadd below

The gradeability at 100 mph and 20 time duration is 2.4 % .
S.NO SPEED DURATION GRADEABILITY
1. 10 mph 10 s 30.3%
2. 40 mph 10 s 11.7%
3. 80 mph 10 s 4.5%
4. 100 mph 20 s 2.4%
Hence, we observed many cases above and the gradeablity is observed by taking different time duration and speed parameter.
So observing all these above statements we came to end that when speed increases gradeability decreases .
