1. There are many doorbells using now a days, but here we are going for doorbell using solenoid. Solenoid is a electromagnet where coiled wires are wounded over it with a small metal piston inside it and by passing current over there it experiences some force. When current starts flowing then the electomagnetic field is produced which attracts this piston towards it and there is a tone bar where its get hits and produce a sound (ding). The time you press the switch for that time only current starts flowing and it produce a sound and when you leave it current stop flowing and no sound is produced. Hence this type doorbell works in a case of solenoid.

Simulations are uploaded below.

2. Thermistor is a type of resistor which electrical resistance value depends upon temperature and this works under a certain temperature limit(range). It is particularly senstive to temperature change. These are made of up semiconductor materials.

Here we use signal builder as variable input source as described in above(in question). As here we have to ON and OFF the fan at different temperature we use temperature controlled source which give specific temperature as output which will sense by the thermistor and then the voltmeter used over here shows the voltage value which we found in scope block and output too.Simulink-ps converter and ps-simulink converter are used.

Simulations are uploaded below.
