Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
Use ADVISOR tool and simulate the following
1. For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.
- Launch Matlab and set the location to advisor
- In the command window type 'advisor'
- A new window will open and then set "metric" for unit
- It will launch in a new window
we need total distance 45 km so we need more then 1 drive cycle to complete more than 45 km.
Warning sign pops the current battery pack so the vehicle can not travel 445 km but will be short by 3.2 km
2. In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.
By increasing the battery we can se the range to 53.3 km which us more than the required.
3. Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file
Compare your results in table and conclude.
