Week 2 - Converging diverging nozzle
Converging diverging nozzle
consider the converging-diverging nozzle below with the dimensions.

Inputs
- At Inlet, Pressure = 1atm and Temperature = 300K. The outlet pressure= 0.027 atm.
- reference pressure to be zero.
Objectives
- The pressure, velocity and temperature variations across the domain
- The variation of Mach number across the domain and at what distance from the inlet does the flow become supersonic
Steps:
creating a geometry
creating meshing
simulation
results
creating a geometry
create the geometry as per the dimension in this space claim software
draw a 2D diagram and use pull option to make a surface

creating meshing
make a mesh finer

simulation

The digram is symmetric so we are using axisymmetric

set The outlet pressure= 0.027 atm
Run the simulation for 500 iterations
Post processing the results

MACH countor across the domain Form half distance from the inlet the flow cahnges to MACH

As the gas enters the converging section, its velocity increases, considering the mass flow rate to be constant. As the gas passes through the throat, it attains sonic velocity (Mach number = 1).

Conclusion:
I got better understand about the convergent dirvegent nozzle about MACH flow changes in the nozzle
good results in simulations and post processing
velocity ,pressure ,Temprature , MACH flow are polted
