Challenge

Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve

AIM

For the given model, check for the geometrical errors and perform Topology cleanup accordingly. Set three different target lengths as three different cases and mesh the model.

  • Target length = 1mm, 3 mm and 5 mm (i.e. 3 cases)
  • Element type = Tria

OBJECTIVE

Apply any one target length from the above at a time for the entire model as One case. Submit 3 different models for 3 cases.
Write a detailed report on your meshing process and also mention which case is giving good results along with the reason.

steps

1 load the geoemtry and perform geometry checks

2 we got errors with single coons and cracks and penertrations before meshing we have to clean up the geometry using topo deck

by using fill hole option fill the visiible holes

GO TO CHECKS MANAGER and checj for any geometrical errors, penetration

if we get any penetration errors use intersec option then remove penetration error

make sure that we get no errors and warnings

meshing

go to perimeter length initilization, length select the target lengththen go to meshing option

case 1: 1 mm

CASE 2: 3 mm

CASE 3: 5mm

Results

Geometrical errors in the model have been cleaned up and 3 different targets lenghts are selected and mesh is generated as given in the object
