Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve
* Objective
- Perform topology cleanup and geometrical checks.
-perform surface mesh of three different cases in different target length.
* Procedure
-Execute geometry checks to find single cons, trible cons, cracks, needle faces, etc.
-Solve manually each one using face new operation, face cut operation, face topo operation, and fill hole operation.
-Ensuring that there are no single cons by using wireframe mode.
-creating and assigning new PIDs to each element after ensuring there are no geometrical errors.
-setting quality criteria and target length.
-meshing the whole geometry using spot mesh and using the reconstruct tool for a better quality grid.
-repeat the process and change the target length and quality criteria for different cases.
* Learning Outcomes
-performing topological cleanup and geometrical checks.
-creating and assigning new PIDs.
-setting mesh parameters and quality criteria.
*Result
- Topological cleanup and PID are assigned.
- meshing of the model in three different target lengths is done.
*Conclusion
-Case 1 has more details than Case 2 and Case 3 because of lowest target length consumes high computational power, also Case 3 has fewer details because of higher target length consumes less computational power.
so case 2 gives a good result as it has details and also consumes less computational power.
