Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve
Question -
For the given model, check for the geometrical errors and perform Topology cleanup accordingly. Set three different target lengths as three different cases and mesh the model.
- Target length = 1mm, 3 mm and 5 mm (i.e. 3 cases)
- Element type = Tria
Apply any one target length from the above at a time for the entire model as One case. Submit 3 different models for 3 cases.
Answer -
The given geometery which has lot of errors.

We will create some PID for the different parts of geometery.

After creating PID we try reomove all the single cons by using Topo<Faces<New option.
we can use Planar, Fitted and Coons option according to the requirment.

After removing all the single cons or we can say after fill the holes
If we check the geometery the errors are

To remove this error
Topo<Faces<Intersect

First group is column and second is spring then click on ok.
After removing this intersection error we get another 2 Error and 21 Warnings.

to remove or minimize triple cons we delete those areas of spring which is not required or we can say does not make contact with fluid.
So after removing these areas
\
We will delete that face since it is not required.

Case 1

Case 2

Case 3

Conclusion - Geometrey Clean up and meshing for different mesh length is done successfully.
