Challenge

Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve

This model is solve by 3 steps

1) Solving the geometry: In this step we are going to convert the single cons to double cons. In the base surface there is a triple cons which can not effect our mesh. Crack filling and hole filling done

2) Assigning the nomenclature to the shell/surface: Following shell are assigned

i) Base suface

ii) Column

iii) Spring

iv) Valve Head

v) Body

vi) Inlet

Vii) Outlet

3) Meshing the all the surface: I have created the Mesh target length 3 mm for Base surface, 5 mm for Body, Inlet and Outlet, 1 mm for Column, Spring and Valve head respectively with element type Tria.

Please refer the below photos for the nomenclature of the surface, Element type and targeted length given and final mesh.
