Week -2

Simulink model with discription :

Pulase generator: 

• The Pulse Generator block generates square wave pulses at regular intervals. The block waveform parameters, Amplitude, Pulse Width, Period, and Phase delay, determine the shape of the output waveform. The following diagram shows how each parameter affects the waveform.
• The switch block is controlled by external physical signal,If the external signal is greater than the threshold parameter then switch is closed, otherwise switch is open.
• The positive terminal of the solenoid coil to one terminal of switch, and negative terminal is connected to the electrical refrance.And negative terminal of battery is connected to electrical refrence.
• Solenoid block is connected with switch and battery , We can complete the circuit by closing switch and supply will be provided from battery.
• The ideal translational sensor is connected with solenoid block R to observe the movement of plunger .
• Scope is connected with the ideal translational sensor to get the required output.
• PS- Simulink converter is used to convert the physical signal to simulink signal.
• Solver configuration : Each physical network represented by a connected Simscape™ block diagram requires solver settings information for simulation. The Solver Configuration block specifies the solver parameters that your model needs before you can begin simulation. Each topologically distinct Simscape block diagram requires exactly one Solver Configuration block to be connected to it.

Results 

1. Door Bell.

Time period of 2 secs given to the pulse generator , for opening and closing the switch. When the switch is closed the solenoid blocks receives electrical power from the battery and the plunger moves from Part of R to C, to hit the bell and produce sound, We can use it as per our requirements.
