1. Door bell

Create a simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block

Here i have used the blocks of Switch,Battery,Pulse generator ,Solenoid,Ideal translational motion sensor,Mechanical translational reference, Scope.

  • Battery:This block models a battery. If you select Infinite for the Battery charge capacity parameter, the block models the battery as a series internal resistance and a constant voltage source. +ve terminal is connected to solenoid & -ve is connected to the switch

*Pulse generator:The Pulse Generator block generates square wave pulses at regular intervals. The block waveform parameters, Amplitude, Pulse Width, Period, and Phase delay.

*Switch:The Switch block models a switch controlled by an external physical signal. Switch is connected with pulse generator

*Solenoid block:This block implements the electrical and mechanical characteristics of a solenoid. The terminal c is connected with ideal translational sensor in the terminal c

*Ideal translational motion sensor:This block measures velocity or displacement in a mechanical translational network.

*Mechanical translational reference:this block represents a mechanical translational reference point, that is, a frame or a ground.

* Scope:Display signals generated during simulation

Simulink model:

Here i have created a model by applying,

That the Amplitude=3

Period(sec)=20

pulse width=80

phase delay(sec)=2

Graphical result:

Here when the switch is closed then the solenoid receive signal from the battery then the bell produce sound.

2. Thermistor to sense the temperature

Here we are going to simulate the model with temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds. Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise

* Signal block:The Signal Editor block displays, creates, and edits interchangeable scenarios

* Controlled temperature source: This block represents an ideal energy source in a thermal network that can maintain a controlled temperature difference regardless of the heat flow rate.

* Thermistor :The Thermistor block represents an NTC thermistor using the B-parameter equation.

* Battery: The Battery block represents a simple battery model

* Resistor: The Resistor block models a linear resistor

* Voltage sensor: The block represents an ideal voltage sensor, that is, a device that converts voltage measured between any electrical connections into a physical signal proportional to the voltage.

* Switch: The Switch block passes through the first input or the third input signal based on the value of the second input. The first and third inputs are data input. The second input is a control input. Specify the condition under which the block passes the first input by using the Criteria for passing first input and Threshold parameters

* Thermal reference: This block represents a reference point in a thermal network where the temperature is equal to absolute zero.
