Week -2

AIM:-

The aim of this project is to make a simulink model of Doorbell using solenoid block with following conditions:

1) The switch is closed for 2 seconds and then released and obsevation pf the punger

2)Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan. Conditions include

Temperature source: 20 °C from 0 to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds

Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, OFF otherwise

Apparatus:

Software used : Mathlab simulink

BLOCKS REQUIRED:-

1. Pulse generator

2. simulink PS converter

3. switch

4.Battery

5. solenoid

6. Mechanical and electrical reference

7.Ideal Translational sensor and scope

BLOCK DIAGRAM:-

PROCEDURE:-

1) The pulse generator is set as below to give the input to the circuit.

2) The pluse is given through a Simulink PS conveter to the switch. The switch'a terminals are given to the battery and the solenoid respectively.

3) The battery is grounded by the electrical reference and the solenoid's case is ground by a Mechanical translational reference.

4) The plunger(R)terminal of the solenoid is given to the plunger terminal(R) of ideal translational sensor and the case (c) terminal is given to the respective terminal and a solver configuration is connected.

5)Scopes are connected near the pulse generator and the output plunger to observe the plunger movement

SIMULATION PARAMETER:-

SIGNAL BUILDER:-

scope connected to the current sensor

OUTPUT:-

RESULT:

The thermisor is used to see the heat run and turn off and turn off and fan operation as mentioned in the condition statement.

The simulink model of doorbell with the above mentioned conditions is simulated and the results are published.
