Week -2
WE CAN FIND THE FOLLOWING DETAILS:
AIM:
1) To make the Simulink model of Doorbell using Solenoid block.
2) To Use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan
OBJECTIVE 1:
DOOR BELL :
The Ring doorbell works by allowing you to see who's at your door whenever there's motion detected, even if you're not home. You can see what's happening through the Ring app on your phone and speak through the doorbell. The app also has several other useful features to make your home more secure
When you press a doorbell button, you complete an electrical circuit that allows household electricity to flow through the doorbell's internal electromagnet. The magnetic field generated by the electromagnet is then used to power a mechanism that creates the doorbell sound. Doorbells are low-voltage devices.

PULSE GENERATOR VALUES:

HENCE ENTER THE VALUES WHICH WAS GIVEN AS OUTPUT IN THE PULSE GENERATOR DIALOG BOX AND TRY TO RUN IT:
The step which was shown as the display value,

After displaying the value, we can find the FINAL OUTPUT in the 'SCOPE'

THE THE FINAL OUTPUT IS SHOWN BELOW:
SCOPE (1)

SCOPE (2):

RESULT:
HENCE WE CAN FIND THE OUTPUT OF MAKING OF DOORBELL USING SOLENOIDAL BLOCK.
OBJECTIVE (2):
THERMISTOR:
A thermistor is a resistance thermometer or a resistor whose resistance is dependent on temperature. The term is a combination of “thermal” and “resistor”. It is made of metallic oxides, pressed into a bead, disk, or cylindrical shape, and then encapsulated with an impermeable material such as epoxy or glass.
Thermistors are used as temperature sensors. They can be found in everyday appliances such as fire alarms, ovens, and refrigerators. They are also used in digital thermometers and in many automotive applications to measure temperature.
WORKING PRINCIPLE:
The thermistor works on the simple principle of change in resistance due to a change in temperature. When the ambient temperature changes the thermistor starts self-heating its elements. its resistance value is changed with respect to this change in temperature. This change depends on the type of thermistor used.
SIMULINK MODEL:

HERE WE ENTER THE VALUES LIKE TEMPERATURE IN THE SIGNAL BUILDER WHICH ARE GIVEN ABOVE;

AFTER THAT WE CAN GET THE DISPLAY VALUES SIMILAR TO THE TEMPERATURE WHICH WAS GIVEN:

AFTER THAT WE CAN ENTER THE 'DISPLAY VALUES' IN THE THRESHOLD VALUES:

OUTPUT:
Here are the Final Results of the scope (1) and scope (2),
SIGNAL BUILDER OUTPUT.

SWITCH OUTPUT:

RESULT:
HENCE WE CAN USE A THERMISTOR TO SENSE THE TEMPERATURE OF A HEATER AND TURN OFF THE FAN AS PER THE BELOW CONDITIONS.
