Week 14 challenge

                                    ASSEMBLE ALL PARTS OF BUTTERFLY VALVE AND APPLY GD&T IN 2D DIAGRAM

To assemble all parts of butterfly valve and apply GD&T in 2D diagram using NX CAD .

• First step is to make add all parts in assembly file.
• Second step is to make constrain all parts with respective mating parts.
• Disc plate constraint with shaft and shaft assembled in body.
• Retainer and lever assembled in one of the shaft. Nut assembled in edge of the shaft.

Applying GD&T

• Datum A given to datum area target A1, A2 and A3 with 60mm circular tolerance zone shape.

           

• Datum B given at to first holes with feature conrol frame is Perpendicularity tolerance must be within a 0.25mm cylindrical tolerance zone at maximum material condition with respect to datum A.

            

• Datum C given to first holes with feature conrol frame is Position tolerance must be within a 0.25mm cylindrical tolerance zone at maximum material coondition with respect to datum A and B.

              

• Datum D given to first holes with feature conrol frame is Position tolerance must be within a 0.5mm cylindrical tolerance zone at maximum material condition with respect to datum A B and C.

        

• Opposite holes of each datum B,C and D is controlled with samw datum.

                

• Surface opposite to datum A is with profile tolerance must be within 0.5mm cylindrical tolerance zone at maximum material condition with respect to datum A B and C.

             

CONCLUSION : 

                        All parts of butterfly valve is assembled and GD&T applied on 2D diagram.
