Procedure:

Initially we will be importing the geometry model into Hyper mesh as shown in the image below.

Now, we will be extracting the mid-surface for the component separately and then assign separate collector ID for the mid-surface.

After extracting mid-surface of the component using offset method, we will be cleaning up the geometry and patching up the faces of it. We will also be toggling off some of the edges using toggle edge option in the component.

But there are certain features in our component which must be defeatured as shown in the images below. These features can be captured properly but they will fail for the quality criteria so we will be defeaturing them.

The model after geometry clean-up and defeaturing is shown in the image below.

The final meshed model clearing all the quality criteria has been obtained which is shown in the images below.

Since there are certain warpage issues in the model, and if we are trying to clearing, we will be getting improper elements. So, we allow certain elements to fail for this issue but we will be keeping it at minimal number of elements failing for the same.

Conclusion:

We have attained the proper mesh flow for the side door inner panel model which qualifies all the quality criteria having proper mesh flow and has less tria concentration with clearing maximum number of opposite tria and rotating quads.
