Week 11 - Project - A pillar Design with Master Section

REPORT

  • The tooling axis is created by the most accurate method which is known as bisecting method. The slopped edges are extracted and constructed lines upon them and by bisecting this lines with a central point will give a bisecting line which is our required tooling axis
  • After the tooling axis creation, checked the draft analysis of surface A .it is almost clearing the draft angles.but in some portions the draft angle is less than 3 degree whis is mentioned in the below image. it may be due to the errors in the surface A
  • After that, started to create the B surface by the method of offseting. The surface B is extrapolated to a small distance for the final trim purpose.
  • After that ,started to create the surface C with the sweep operation including the draft direction method and referance surface method
  • after that the generated sweeps are joined together with the surface A
  • the A+C surface is then trimmed with the extrapolated B surface and getted a final trim
  • the final trim surface is closed by the closed surface method by using the part workbench
  • after that the dog house is created with the master sections that provided with surface A.it is drafted and edge fillets are given to them according to the design rules of dog house
  • the dog house is joined with the partbody by the boolean operation which is known as union trim.the final output is mentioned in below image
  • by doing the draft analysis on the final output,it can identifies that some of the regions are below 3 degree draft angle which is mentioned in the below image .
