Week 11 Challenge
1. Design the slab and foundation of the model. Outline the thought process for designing of the elements (column, beam, slab and foundations)
AIM
To design the slab and Foundation design of Pile foundation As per Indian standard By using the TEKLA Software.
PROCEDURE
- To open Our model at 3D view.
- To check all slab elements and parameters as well distribute the Indian standards.
- Only switch On the slab items, otherwise, all Elements are kept switched off.
- Go to the Ground floor, to check all slab characteristics.
- Select the slab > right click > Check slab > check design > Design members.
- To check all Reinforcement Detailing @ top and bottom bars and provide the effective spacing.
- If we check whether the Slab member will pass.
- And also to check Stirrups reinforcements bars and spacing between one another.
- Similarly, we check all floor slabs.
- After that, to check the Result and Review view of slab properties status.
- To check all ratio Parameters.

- Then to Design the pile foundation as per Indian standards.
- Go to the Base level of our model.
- Go to Foundation Tab > under Result view > to check all forces, all direction, forces, reaction, moment major , check shear value, etc..,
- And also to check all Loading combinations and Load cases.
- Next to considering the Design of Foundations.
- Under foundation tab > to choose setting > To choose Isolated foundation > Reinforcement layout of Pile cap detailing.
- And also to check pad base details, general parameters of design purposes.
- The major concentration of design to edit the catalog of Data, pile capacity, vertical parameters, Horizontal parameters.
- Go to Foundation > To choose Pile cap column option > select and drap to all columns.
- check all foundation member and design the all foundation.
- Go to Result view to check whether the foundation will pass or not.
- if any Wrong will be there, consider resolving that problems.

RESULTS
Successfully, designed the Slab and Pile foundation and also check all design parameters.
