Week 11- Assembly Workbench

ASSEMBLY CHALLENGE

Assembly Approach:

• Top Down Assembly
• Bottom Up Assembly

Top Down Assembly:

In the top down assembly design approach components are cerated inside the assembly design workbench.Therefore there is no need to create separate part file from the components.Here the product file is initially created and then parts are created.

Dottom Up Approach:

In Bottom Up Approach the components are created in part design workbench and then all the part files are inserted into the product in Assembly workbench.

Steps followed:

In this projects Bottom Up Approach is followed.

The parts are modeled based on the profile and the dimension given

After designing each individual parts They are inserted into assembly workbech using existing component comment

Initially a common referance should be created for all parts and this common referance shoud be fixed

Now a part which has connected to major parts of assembly is made to coincide to the common referance point

Using constrains the degree of freedom of each individual parts in an assembly is arrested.
