6. REPORTS

This report outlines the design of a car door component, focusing on the use of Class A, B, and C surfaces, along with a DOG HOUSE. The nominal wall thickness is 2.5mm. Draft angles are applied at 0.5 degrees for the walls of component and 1.5 degrees for the dog house, ensuring easy mold release during manufacturing.

The Class A surface is the exterior, providing a smooth and aesthetic finish. The Class B surface focuses on structural and functional support, while the Class C surface deals with internal, non-visible areas with ribbing for added strength.

Key features include a dog house with a thickness of 1mm (40% of the wall thickness) , ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing stress concentrations. The bosses are designed for fasteners, maintaining 40% thickness at the base for added durability.

Overall, the design follows industry standards for plastic part manufacturing, with optimal draft angles, wall thickness, and radii to prevent defects like shrink marks. This ensures the part is well-suited for injection molding and ready for production.
