  • Give dimension to "Start" and "end" limit.
  • Same line draw in opposite side to create parallel line.

  • Go to the "Line" command in "Wireframe" option.
  • Choose "Bisecting" in "Line type" option.
  • Select both Taper line in "Line 1" and "Line 2".
  • Select the point, where the Tool axis is created.
  • Give dimension to "Start" and "End" limit.
  • Then click on "OK", Bisecting line is created.

  • Right click on Bisecting line (Tree structure), go to the "Properties", give name as Dummy Tooling axis 1.
  • Change the colour of the line, increase the thickness and choose hidden line for proper view of Dummy Tooling Axis 1.

  • Hide the other two taper line.
  • Unhide the CLASS A SURFACE.

E) CREATE THE INTERSECTION LINE 2

  • Choose "Intersection" command in "Wireframe" toolbar.
  • Choose "YZ plane axis" in "First Element".

  • Choose "CLASS A SURFACE" in "Second Element" option.
  • Click on "OK", Intersection line is created.

  • Hide the "CLASS A SURFACE" surface.

F) CREATE DUMMY TOOLING AXIS -2

  • Go to the "Line" command in "Wireframe" option.
  • Choose "Point-Point" option in "Line type".
  • Select point 1 and point 2 on inetrsection line to create taper line.

  • Right click on Bisecting line (Tree structure), go to the "Properties", give name as Dummy Tooling axis 2.
  • Change the colour of the line, increase the thickness and choose hidden line for proper view of Dummy Tooling Axis 2.

  • Hide the other two taper line.
  • Unhide the CLASS A SURFACE.

G) CREATE MAIN TOOLING AXIS BY BISECTING METHOD

  • Unhide the both Tooling Axis.
  • Hide the both Intersection line.

  • Go to the "Line" command in "Wireframe" option.
  • Choose "Bisecting" in "Line type" option.
  • Select both DUMMY TOOLING AXIS line in "Line 1" and "Line 2".
  • Select the point, where the Tool axis is created.
  • Give dimension to "Start" and "End" limit.
  • Then click on "OK", Bisecting line is created.

  • Right click on Bisecting line (Tree structure), go to the "Properties", give name as MAIN TOOLING AXIS.
  • Change the colour of the line, increase the thickness and choose hidden line for proper view of MAIN TOOLING AXIS.

  • Hide both DUMMY TOOLING AXIS.

4. PROCEDURE OF DRAFT ANALYSIS OF CLASS A SURFACE

  • Go to "Insert" toolbar, then choose "Analysis", then choose "Feature Draft Analysis".
  • Select "CLASS A SURFACE" in "Elements" option.
  • Choose "Shows or hide the color scale" in "Display" option.
  • Deselct the "Analysis under the running point" if you don't want to check the running point angle.
  • Select "Uses the compass to define the new current draft direction" option.
  • Drag the compass and placed it in Tooling axis line vertically.
  • Choose "Inverses the draft direction" option as per required.
  • Choose "Switch on the quick analysis mode".
  • Enter the draft angle value by double clicking on it.

RESULT-:

  • If "CLASS A SURFACE" show green colour in top side, it means it created with proper draft angle in limit and no further correction required for this surface.
  • If "CLASS A SURFACE" show Red or Blue colour in top side, it meand the draft angle is not given in limit and then correction or working is required on this surface and Design Enginner will not consider this surface design for manufacturing.

6. DRAFT ANALYSIS FOR DOG HOUSE UNDER CUT

Draft analysis is very much necessary to find out whether the under cut in component can be manufactured easily and also we can know whether the draft is given to the component in proper way or still have further work on it.

For draft analysis, create the tooling axis from point in "X" direction.
