Week 10 - Challenge 1- Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss)

AIM: To Create the Rib and Screw Boss for the Drill Handle considering the design rules.

• Creating Tooling axis by following below steps;

• Checking Draft analysis for given class A surface;

• Now creation of B surface by following the below steps;

• then creation of C surface by using sweep option with referance surfaces;

• for final object first join A and C surface then trim then with respect to B surface and then by using close solid option we get the following part as output;

• Then comes the Rib creation for drill handle to increase its stiffness and strength without increasing its thickness;

• Extrusion is the next step after the sketch;

• by using thicken option in part workbench make the rib to a solid body;

• And now comes the Screw Boss creation;

• preparing constrained sketches for screw boss and its support ribs;

• Finally bu using same close solid option and translatting cammand creation of screw boss on both part of drill handle is done;

• Then draft analysis for final component;

• Isometric view of final 3D object;
