Week 10 Bullet penetrating a Bucket Challenge
OBJECTIVE:
To perform a simulation of a bullet penetrating a bucket using 3 different materials for bucket.
METHODOLOGY:
- first add the non linear materials from the explicit materials to the engineering data and import the geometry

- assaign the materials to the bucket and the bullet.
- mesh the geometry and perform the edge sizing to the bucket.

- give the fixed support to the bucket and give the velocity to the bucket.

- run the simulation and find the results and repeat the procedure for different materials.
CASE 1:ALUMINIUM 1100

CASE 2:TITANIUM

CASE 3:STAINLESS STEEL

| CASE | Tot deformation(mm) | equivalent stress(Mpa) |
| AL 1100-O | 159.9 | 231.35 |
| titanium | 233.4 | 542.48 |
| stainless steel | 168.11 | 572.95 |
CONCLUSION:
From the above data we can conclude that aluminium1100-O can withstand high stress and shows better deformation.
