Week 10 Bullet penetrating a Bucket Challenge
Bullet penetrating a Bucket Simulation
Objective:
Simulate a bullet penetrating into a bucket by using 3 different nonlinear materials for the bucket and analyse their behaviour for the same velocity of bullet and attach an animation to show the behaviour in the three cases.

- Analysis System: Explicit Dynamics
- Material Properties:
Bucket Material: Aluminium Alloy NL / Copper Alloy NL / Structural Steel NL
Aluminium Alloy NL

Copper Alloy NL

Structural Steel NL

Bullet: Tantalum

- Mesh:

6 mm of edge meshing is given on bucket

Mesh Element Quality:

- Analysis Setting
No of Steps: 1
Load Step Type: Explicit Time Integration
End Time: 0.01
Maximum Energy Error: 5
- Boundary Conditions:
- Fixed support is defined at base of bucket.

- Velocity of 139 m/s is given on bullet.
