Week 1 Spur Gear Challenge
Objective : Using Cast Iron(ductile), Cast steel, bronze Cast as a materials, carry out a static structural analysis to find out Equivalent stress, Total deformation and Stress intensity. Also find location for possible fracture
Given below image is the object on which analysis should be done

Select the material for respective case and give appropriate connections such as contacts, type of motion should also be assigned
Later Load type should be assigned for each wheel
Give the required no. of steps and the steps to be followed
Joint load with revoloution motion will be assigned to each gear and degree of rotation and moment for gear is assigned in tabular coloumn.
After giving all data now run the simulation for each case and observe the results
Results
| Case | Equivalent Stress(MPa) | Total Deformation(mm) | Stress Intensity(MPa) |
| Bronze Cast | 441.73 | 30 | 492.24 |
| Cast Steel | 458.57 | 30 | 516.73 |
| Cast Iron | 465.36 | 30 | 465.36 |

Conclusion
- Based on analysis we can conclude that Equivalent stress is more in Cast Iron when compared to other materials
- Stress Intensity is more in Cast Steel when compared to other materials
- Based on tabular data Bronze has more deformation compared to other materials
- By comparing results all these materials I can conclude that Cast Steel can bear more load and also has minimum deformation, so I prefer Cast Steel material
