1) Wt of Superstructure =

i) cross section area of box superstructure = Deck Area + Soffit Area + Varing thk Deck area + Web Area

= (10.2x0.225)+((0.2/2)x(4.02+3.642))+((0.125/2x(0.269+2.57)x2)+(2*1.944*0.25)

= 2.295+0.766+0.355+0.972

= 4.388 m2

ii) Volume of Superstructure = Length of Span x Cross Section Area of Box structure

= 12 mtr x 4.388 m2

= 52.656 m3

iii) Weight of Superstructure = Volume of Superstructure x Unit wt of RCC structure

= 52.656 m3 x 25 KN/M3

= 1316.4 KN

The Dead load of Superstructure is 1316.4 KN

The self weight of Pier is = Area of Pier x Height of Pier x Unit wt of RCC structure x Nos of Pier

= (pi/4x2.5x2.5)x ht of pier consider 12 mtr x25 KN/M3 x 2

= 2943.75 KN
