Usage of Navigation tool , Timeliner and Clash Detection test using Naviswork

1.Aim:To use architecture/structure project file to export revit architectural and structural model to naviswork cache file

Procedure 

• Open aaaarchitectural model and click on 3D view
• Go to file , click on export and save as NWC 

                             

• Repeat for for architectural and structural model
• Open file in NAVISWORK software

                             

Result

Revit architecture and structural model has been exported to naviswork cache file

                    

 

                    

2.Aim:To use navigate tool to walk around model and walk through rooms created and record my moving as animation in naviswork file

Procedure

• Open exported previously and click on view point also on walk
• Go to animation tab click on record and start the record click on stop after finishing

Result

Animation recorded for the rooms walked throughh and stored in saved view point

                       

                      

                     

                    

3.Aim:Using navigate tool to use realism feature to walk through model and record moving as animation in navisworks file

Procedure

• Open architectural model in naviswork
• Click on view point and select view and click on realism command
• Check on third person and select record option and select walk
• Walk through all room and stop the record

Result

                   

                  

                 

                

4.Aim:To embedd both architectural and structure *.nwc file to my navisworks file and create a clash detection between the two mode

Procedure

• Click on run test
• After test study about clashes like beams, column etc
• List the clashes which can be approved, reviewed , resolved by selecting them in drop down menu

Result

Both architectural and structural file has been embed and clash delecting has done and they are studied clashes which can be reviewed, approved , resolved are listed and saved in naviswork file

           

          

        

5.Aim:To use timeline feature in naviswork and prepare a schedule for project developed  and add reasonable assumption for taskdate and end date and end date and simulate task completion as visual simulation

Procedure

• Open structural file in naviswork exported from revit, go to home and click on timeliner
• Add tasks and attach the materials by clicking on selection tree
• Assign planned and actual start and ends dates to task, follow the same procedure for entire building in which order tasks have to complete 
• click on record on and play recorded tasks and stop recording 
• save the project

Result

Schedule has been done using timeline features in naviswork
