Usage of Navigation tool , Timeliner and Clash Detection test using Naviswork
1) Aim: To use the structural project file developed by us in the week 6 to 8 to export the revit architecture and structure model to navisworks cache file
Tools used:
File
Export
Save
NWC
Naviswork
Procedure:
Step-1: Open the revit and open the file which you have saved in the week 6 to 8 and go to file then export, NWC and save the file as NWC format

Step-2: Now the exporting work get finished

Step-3: Now the revit file gets opened in the Naviswork

Result: In this way we can export the any type of Revit file either it is structural or architectural in to the Naviswork and we can save them as Naviswork file

2) Aim: Using the Navigate tool to walk around the model and walk through the rooms created and record our movings as animation in our Navisworks file
Tools used
Naviswork

Step-3: Now select the walk tool and click cursor or keyboard front, left arrow to start the wall

Step-4: Now go to the save view point and click on record and start walking to the direction which you need the view and click on stop to stop the record

Result: We have successfully used the navigate tools to walk around the model and though the rooms created and records our moved with the help of above steps
3) Aim: To use the navigate tool to use realism feature to walk through the model and record your movings as animation in Naviswork file

Result: With the help of above steps we have use the realism feature and walk through the rooms and around the building and record the movings successfully

4) Aim: To create a clash detection test between the architectural and structural model
Tools used:
Home
Open
Clash detection
Runtest
Append
Procedure:
Step-1: Open the revit and save both architectural and structural file as NWC and open them in Naviswork manage
Step-2: Open the architectural file and append the structural file to it both the file got merged

Step-3: Click on clash detective in the home tab

Step-4: A clash detective dialogue box opens

Step-5: Click on add test and select the file in which you need to detect the click on run test

d) We can neglect the clashes which will not cause any disturbance to the project
e) We can resolve the clashes which can change the boundary conditions we can exclude these clashes from
detective test
f) Once the clashes are mentioned we can save the file by selecting save as
g) Now we can annotate and save the place where we can see the clashes and can viewed personally and will be rectified

Result: With the help of above steps we can able to detect the clashes in the model and we can resolve the problem and we can send the file to the design engineer

5) Aim: Using the Timeliner feature in Navisworks and prepare a schedule for a project developed in week 6 to 8 by adding reasonable assumption for task start date and stimulate the task completion as a visual simulation. Record it and save the timeliner simulation to naviswork file
Tools used:
Home
Timeliner
Selection tree
Add task
Stimulate
Procedure:
Step-1: Open the structural file in the naviswork manage
Step-2: Click on the timeliner in the home

Step-3: The time liner box appears in the bottom. Click on selection tree to select add them to the timeliner
Step-4: Click on add task and go to attach and select the items in the selection tree

Step-4: We can add the actual and planned start and end dates

Step-5: After finishing filling all the details in the timeliner click on the stimulate

Result: With the help of above steps we can prepare a schedule for a project developed in week 6 to 8 by adding reasonable assumptions like task start date and end date and stimulate the task completion as a visual simulation and recorded it and saved the timeliner simulation to naviswork file successfully
