Tools Used:
- manage
- architecture
- grid
- collaborate
Procedure:
1)from the architectural tab select grid and draw grids
2)from the manage tab select the specify coordinates option
3)select the grid and set the coordinates to 0'0"
4) After that save the file

2. Aim: To open another new file but with a structural template. Using the manage tab set project parameters the same as the architectural model. Copy the parameters from the architectural model to the structural template or enter the parameters manually into the structural model
Tools Used:
- manage
- architecture
- grid
- collaborate
Procedure:
1)open a structural template and from the architectural tab select grid and draw grids
2)from the manage tab select the specify coordinates option
3)select the grid and set the coordinates to 0'0"

3. Aim: To re-open the architectural model. Using the tools under the Collaborate tab make the architectural model a central model ( enabling simultaneous working on the model )
procedure:
1)open the saved architectural template file

2) go to collaborate tab and click on collaborate
3) Tick on within your network and click ok

4) Save the file
5) when you save the file revit going to ask you save the project as central model,
6) click yes it will be save as central model

4. Aim: To create the Grids Longitudinal and Transverse pattern for the project similar to the task done in Week 2
Tools Used
- architecture
- grid
procedure:
1)from the architecture tab select grid

2)place longitudinal and traverse grids with equal distance
3)rename the grids

Result: grids were created successfully.
5. Aim: To synchronize the changes from the local copy to the central file of the architectural model.
Tools Used:
- collaborate
- synchronize
procedure:
1)go to the collaborate tab
2)click on synchronize with central
3) click ok on the dialog box opened

Result: synchronization with the central file is done successfully.
6. Aim: To open the structural model and using the collaborate tools to save the model as a central file.
procedure:
1)open the saved structural template file
2) Go to collaborate tab and click on collaborate

3) it asking how would you like to collaborate so tick within your network click ok

4) Click on save from the top tool bar or Ctrl+S

5) when click on save, revit ask you save the project as central model click on Yes

RESULT: the structural model was saved as a central model successfully.
7. Aim: To select the grids and levels from the architectural model, and using Copy Monitor try to copy the grids to the structural model. See what happens when the copy monitored grid is moved around in the structural model
Tools Used:
- Insert> link revit
- collaborate
- copy monitor
Procedure:
1) open the the structural that you save
2) go to insert tab and click on link revit
3) from collabarate tab select copy moniter
4)select copy and click on multiple select the grids wanted to be linked
5)click finish

8. Aim: To create another new file with a construction template. Save the new file as a central model. This file will include both architectural and structural model. Under the manage tab, Click manage links to link both architectural and structural files. Save the file and close all the files.
Tools Used:
- manage
- manage links
Procedure:
1)after creating a file in the constructional template, follow the procedure in question 1 & 2 to make it the central model
2) from the manage tab select manage links and add the architectural and structural plans

Result: combined constructional template created successfully.
