Underbody coating is the type of coating which is used for automobiles to improve its corrosive resist properties.
It's also used to with stand impact loads such as stones which may result in peal off paint resulting in corrosion.
undercoating is protects from rust and acts as anti rust agent.
there are many ways to apply coating like spraying, diping in tank.

Purpose of underbody coating
1. to protect vehicle from the corrosion.
2.it reduces the noise of vehicle.

Types of under body coating
there are many types of underbody coatings namely
- rubberized underbody coating
- polyurethane undercoatings
- wax or paraffin based coatings
- asphalt based coatings
1.Rubberized underbody coating
it is very easy to apply and offers sound cushionuing as well as protection from dust,moisture and dings.
rubberized coating is generally the best option for protecting vehicle undercarriage.
2.Polyurethane Undercoating
it will come in canisters ready to preload into an application gun.
This type of sealent works by seeping into cracks and seams, displacing salt and moisture and oozing around rusty areas to bond with and protect unoxidized metal .
it also sands quickly in case we need to perform body work.
3.Wax or Paraffin based undercoatings.
A paraffin-based undercoating will be the cheapest and quickest option available with which to protect the undercarriage of vehicle.
it will very quicker than other types of undercoatings and will need to be stripped and reapplied at least once every year.

- if the vehicle is already corrosive it wont help to repair that one.
- it will be best for new vehicles.
- we have to apply periodically based on the condition of vehicle underbelly.
- it adds weight to the vehicle .
