CHALLENGE 2:-
AIM:-
- To Create column properties for different types of pedestal members and model in the grids created as per the assignment 1
- Introduction :-
The pedestal is the block of concrete that supports the column. It transfers the load from the column to the foundation Safely . It is also provided to avoid contact between the Soil and the metal element . The concrete pedestals start from the BL and end at GL level .
For the above question, let us first assume the pedestal dimension and model it on the grids created as per the provious assignment
Procedure :-
- Launch tekla structural Designer 2023
- Open the file Create in the properties
- Since We are going to bgin the

- Take a Construction levels
- Create the levels , Ground floor to Eaves level

- To Create a concrete pedestal, Home - Manage property Sets - New - member - concrete column
- We are going to create two concrete pedestals,PD of size 400X800mm and PD1 of size 600X400mm

Check for major allgnment to be at center , releases - Fixed at both top and bottom and Nominal cover as 40mm
- As we check the column positioning in the previous assignment , 2construction line are to be drawn to place the columns.

Go to The 3D view

Result:-
- The Column properties are created by using Manage property set
- The construction line are created whatever needed
- The column are modelled by using model - concrete - column option
2.Aim:-
To create column properties for steel column and model column in the grid created as per assignment1
Introduction:-
The steel column is used to transfer the loads from the steel beams down to the pedestol ISMB section are to be used for steel columns. the steel column level is from the Ground floor level till the roof beam level
Procedure:-
- Go to home - manage properties- manage- property set - new - members- Steel column
- Go to section and modify it as ISMB 350

- Pick major alignment as center
- Releases - Bottom pinned and Top Fixed

- The steel columns in grid line C are modellled with C1 using model - steel -column
- Click on the intersecting point on the grid c to place the columns
- After placing it could be viewed be viewed in 3D also

Another set of Column C2 of ISMB 350 but with ratation as 90 Deg is to be modelled for the remaining grids

Result:-
- The Column properties are created by using Manage property set
- The column are modelled by using model - concrete -Steel- column option
- Validation is done to check for any errors/ warnings
3) Aim:-
To create beam properties and model primary and secondary beam on the ground floor
Introduction :-
Primary beams are are those which transfar load to another beam necessarily a primary beam they rest on the primary beams, secondary beams are provided to breack the slab length
The beam properties are first create using manage property set . then they are modelled in the grids
Procedure:

- The Beam properties are created by using Manage property set

- For longer Span of 7.4m ISMB 400 is provided A beam B2 Modelled using manege property
- A secondary beam B3 Of ISMB 250 is Modelled to break the slab span

Result :-
Thus the primary beam B1 &B2 Are modelled between column and secondary beam B3 is modelled between primary beams to break the length of the slab
Validate the model once again
