Steering Geometry 1

I. The following parameters are viewed and calculated in the side view:

1.Caster Angle

2. Mechanical trail

Caster angle is found to be 5.37 deg. and Mechanical Trail is found to be 18.6mm.

The following parameters are viewed and calculated in the front view:

1. Kingpin Inclination Angle

2. Scrub Radius.

3. Kingpin lateral offset

Kingpin Incilnation is found to be 10 degrees.

Scrub Radius is found to be -68.8 mm.

Kingpin lateral offset is found to be 85.26mm

II. The pneumatic trail is found to be 87,200 N-mm or 87.2 N-m.

III. To change the sign of the scrub radius, we can change the Y-coordinate of the lower ball joint and a new hardpoint at X: 0 ,Y : -850, Z: 100.
