Section Modulus calculation and optimization
OBJECTIVE : To improve the section modulus of Hood by changing the cross section.
INTRODUCTION : Section Modulus is defined as the ratio of the Second Moment of Inertia to the Distace between the Neutral Axis and the end point of the section.
S = I/y
I - Moment of Inertia
y - Distance between neutral axia and end of the object

Changes made in section 2 : An offset of 1 mm has been made outside in the internal panel to increase the Sectional modulus of the section
CONCLUSION : There is a significant difference in the upper and lower values of Moment of inertia so the section modification has been successful.
