ROOF ASSEMBLY

Roof is one of the main & essential component in car. It provide not only strength & styling but also a better aerodynamic flow to a car. A good roof help a car to achieve high speed with less fuel consumption & also protect the passengers from external threats.

The component in a roof assembly are

1) roof outer panel,

2) roof inner panel,

3) front roof rail,

4) rear roof rail,

5) reinforcement.

roof outer panel:-

The outer pannel is a component which is used to provied better look & which is used to place all reinforcments & inner panel.

roof inner panel-

this component is used to mount front roof rail, rear roof rail ,reinforcements & other components like back door, front glass etc. it provide strength to the roof & help to withstand heavy load.

front roof rail :-

front roof rail is used to mount on the front side of the inner panel, it provide strength & also the front glass, A-piller etc.

rear roof rail-

the rear roof rail is used to mount at the rear side of roof inner panel it helps to mount the back door of the car and the rear roof rail design changes according to the back door.

reinforcements :-

In this design there is one center roof rail & two bow roof rail is mounted in the inner pannel. Reinforcement are placed

to provide the strength for the roof & to position the boof roof rail feature is given for masticks & according to the theritical formula the value for bow position are in th table-1.
