Hood design-Week 2

INTRODUCTION

Hood is an important part in the car, it plays an essential role in automobile (car) as styling purpose and in protection of car main components of like engine, radiator, HVAC, etc. Hood is protecting shield and gives an amazing look for car. The components of the Hood are following.

COMPONENTS

1) Hood outer panel

2) Hood inner panel

3) Hinges

4) Sticker

5) Hood Stay

HOOD OUTER PANEL

Hood outer panel is a styling feature to the car. It gives a good look to the car and gives a better aerodynamic flow to the car. Outer panel is the outer most layer of hood in a car.

HOOD INNER PANEL

Hood inner panel is designed in a way that it distributes the force on the car throughout the body to reduce the damage on the car. It is the main components in hood which plays a key role in providing strength to car main parts like engine.

HINGES

Hinges are used for the opening and closing of hood its position plays a key role in locking system of hood.

STRIKER

Striker positon plays a key role in the in locking system if it is not positioned in a correct angle & distance the lock system will not work.

HOOD STAY

Hood stay helps to keep the hood in open positon, in case if we need to check the engine and other parts of car.
