DESIGN ,ASSEMBLY AND RENDERING OF LUXURY SUPER YACHT :

OBJECTIVE :

The main objective of this project of this project to design and modeling of a "Luxury Super Yacht" using solidworks and adding suitable appearences to the Yacht.

INTRODUCTION :

A superyacht or megayacht is a large and luxurious pleasure vessel. There are no official or agreed upon definitions for such yachts, but these terms are regularly used to describe professionally crewed motor or sailing yachts, ranging from 40 metres to more than 180 metres in length, and sometimes include yachts as small as 24 metres.Superyachts ranged in speed from 50 knots (93 km/h) with 7,290-horsepower (5.44 MW) engines to 67 knots (124 km/h) with 20,600-horsepower (15.4 MW) engines for the motor yacht.

Superyachts are often available for charter with a staff that caters to guests at a high standard of comfort.Whereas "commercial" large yachts may carry no more than 12 passengers, "private" yachts are solely for the pleasure of the owner and guests do not carry the passenger restriction. Yachts may be identified by flag the country under which a yacht isregistered. They may be designed to emphasize comfort, speed, or expedition capability. Larger Yachts may have more than one swimming pool; they may carry a variety of water toys, other boats, and some a helicopter.

DESIGN METHODOLOGY :

Super luxury yacht designed by using "SolidWorks"solid modeling software. In process of Yacht design Blueprint setup,solid modeling & surface modeling tools are very useful to design "SuperYacht". Below medthodology followed to model the Yacht.

PARTS :

1.Radar:

Marine radars are Xband or Sband radars on ships, used to detect other ships and land obstacles, to provide bearing and distance for collision avoidence and navigation at sea. They are electronic navigation instruments that use a rotating antenna to sweep a narrow beam of microwaves around the water surface surrounding the ship to the horizon, detecting targets by microwaves reflected from them, generating a picture of the ship's surroundings on a display screen.

While modeling Radar Boss Extrude,Cut extrude,Sketch pattern,Split line,fillet features are used to design.

2.Radar Mast(Mount) :

Marine Marine Radar & Satellite Antenna Mount Marine Radar Similar to our Power Mounts Plus, these mounts are constructed of high quality marine grade aluminum and treated with an anodized primer then Radar & Satellite Antenna Mount for your boat for secure mounting. Diffrent types of Radar mounts are in use. searchlight mounts, light bar mounts, dual mounts for radar and sat domes, and universal mounts for installation of an array of electronic devices.

While modeling of radar mast featurs used to design are Bossextrude,Revolve,Dome,Sweep,fillet,Mirror and etc.

3.Propeller :

A propeller is a device with a rotating hub and radiating blades. It transforms rotational power into linear thrust by acting upon a working fluid, such as water or air.The rotational motion of the blades is converted into thrust by creating a pressure difference between the two surfaces. A given mass of working fluid is accelerated in one direction and the craft moves in the opposite direction. Most marine propellers are screw propellers with helical blades rotating on a propeller shaft with an approximately horizontal axis.

While designing the propeller Revolve, surface loft.fillet, fillet features are used.

4.Front seat :

The front seat of the Yacht is at the forward or front part of the Yacht.fhe forward part called ''Bow''. The front seat design is little bit narrow. It's a comfortable seat for fishing or just lounging back and enjoying the day.

Surface modeling features such as Surface sweep,surface extrude,surface trim, surface knit and etc. are used for modeling of front seat.

5.Middle seat :

The design of Middle seat is capable of six people can sit. It was placed at center of yacht and coincide with the hull floor. Also designed a table along with the middle seat for putting things when sit.

While modeling middle seat Boss extrude, mirror,cutextrude,fillet, and etc features are used.

6.Rear seat :

Reat part of Yacht is called Deck.Designed a Stylish curved bench seating on rear deck of yacht with table set for breakfast. Spacious covered lower rear deck with bench seating and sofa setting also it holds a flag.

While designing the rear seat initially surface body was created for that surface loft, surface sweep,surface trim,ruled surface,surface knit,surface extend and etc features are used and then it converted into solid body.

7.Garage door :

The garage door is used to access the garage space in a yacht model.Garage opening device Combined up and down and rotation movements.

While modeling the garage door Cut extrude,split,fillet mirror and etc.features are used.

8.Hull :

A hull is the watertight body of a ship or boat. The hull may open at the top or it may be fully or partially covered with a deck. A top the deck may be a deckhouse and other superstructures, such as a funnel, derrick, or mast. The line where the hull meets the water surface is called the waterline. The hull of a ship is usually a V or U shape at the front and a flatter shape at the back. ships have displacement hulls designed to move the water to the side as they move. They have this type of hull because it is stable, suitable for large ships and can be incredibly strong.The structural design of the hull of a ship amounts to approximately 70 percent of the total structural design of the ship.

While designing the hull of the Yacht below modeling featurs are followed.Surface loft, surface trim, surface extrude, surface knit, shell, cut extrude, boss extrude, sweep, chamfer, fillet,revolve,dome,llinear pattern ,projected curve,and etc.

9.Super structure :

Any type of structure that is above deck is considered the superstructure of a boat.the superstructure consists of the parts of the ship or a boat, including sailboats, fishing boats, passenger ships, and submarines, that project above her main deck.

superstructure was designed mostly by using surface modeling features such as surface extrude,surface loft, surface knit,surface fill, surface sweep ,projected curves,surface trim and etc.

YACHT ASSEMBLY :

After modeling all patrs of Yacht they are assembled together by using Mates like coincident mate, distance mate & etc.

Conclusion :

Modeling of Luxury yacht is succesfully completed by using solidworks surface modeling and solid modeling features. Yacht is succesfully assembled after part modeling. After sucessfull assembly of yacht we Rendered the model by applying environiment to get photorealistic look.
