DESIGNING OF AMERICAN CHOPPER BIKE BY USING SOLIDWORK
OBJECTIVE:
The main objective of this project to create and design diffrent parts of an customized American chopper model bike by using Solidworks. Then to assemble the diffrent modeled parts for chopper and to create a photorealistic rendering of the chopper by using Photoview 360 & Solidworks Visaulize.
INTRODUCTION:
American Chopper bikes are custom chopper-style motorcycles.These bikes look cool and uncluttered. originally called the new chopped bikes "Bobbers". the bikes kept evolving through the 60's and 70's and they started to call them"Choppers".In 1969 the movie " Easy Rider" which brought the Chopper into public eye. Chopper is created by removing or "chopping"off unnecessary parts from bike.

Front fender:
Front fender located at the top of front wheel. The primary purpose of Front fender is to prevent sand,mud,stones,liquids and other dust particals of road spray from being thrown into air by the rotating part (wheel). While modeling Front fender below features followed to create.

Rear fender:
Rear fenders protect our body and bike from rocks,mud, sand,liquids and other particals being thrown into air by rotating wheel.Fenders typically rigid.It is fixed at rear wheel with the help of axil bolts. While modeling Rear fender below features are used to create.

Front Wheel:
Front wheel of a bike hinged at the end of the front fork of the bike.It influences the handling of the bike. front wheel is combination of several parts. such as Tyre,Rim and brake disk. The rim of wheel is designed like a spider web. While modeling front wheel we use several features such as Revolve cur,Circular pattern,and etc.

Rear Wheel:
Rear wheel acts as driver wheel of the bike. it's hub mounted at back end of chassis with the rear axil. Rear wheel consists several parts. brake disk,calliper and Chain sproket. The chain is connected with the chain sproket to drive the vehicle. In process of designing the rear wheel below features ar followed.

Front Fork:
Front fork of a bike connected to the front end of the chassis and it holds several parts. like Head lights of bike, handle bars, front wheel and etc. At the end of the Front fork suspension stems are attached. it resists several loads while riding.The steerer tube(handle bars) attached to the front fork .It allowing the rider to steer the bike. Chassis:
Chassis is the main support structure of the vehicle and also known as Base frame of a vehicle. It bears all stresses onthe vehicle in both dynamic and static conditions. It's looks like skeletion of bike. Chassis plays vital role in designing of a bike. chassis and wheel axil connected each at the end of the chassis and the were specially designed to withstand such spped.
chassis carry load of the vehicle engine,gear box, fuel tank,gas tank and etc.several parts of the bike attached to the chassis. In the design process of chassis features like sweep, extrude, projected curve,split,combined and someny features are used to model perfect chassis.

Engine:
An engine is a machine designed to convert one form of energy into mechanical energy. It is heart of the vehicle. it produces power to drive the vehicle. Engine and rear wheel connected each with the chain. The produced power by the engine is transmits to the Rear wheel by the chain. American chopper engine is duel cyllender engine. While modeling the engine bit complex and it consists two smoke exhust parts.features used for creating the engine are Bos extrude, circular pattern, projected curves, composit curves,dome and etc.

Transmission Belt:
The Transmission Belt in american chopper used to transmit the power from the engine to the Gearbox. It is usually made with rubber material. While creating this part below features are used.

Kik Stand:
In American chopper we designed side-kikstand. It the one inetiated to be used for parking. It is considerably more stable then center stand. Kik stand fixed to the left side of the chassis. below features followed to create kikstand.

Transmission chain:
Chain drive is most efficient power drive mechanisum.It transmitting mechanical power from one place to another.It is often used to convey power to the wheels of the vehicle.
Chain drive made up by means of links interlocked by pins and rollers of specific diameter. the pins are arrenged in a series at accuratly pich in order to match the pich distance in the sproket. Materials used for manufacture of chains is alloy steels and other alloy metela depends upon working condition. features used for modeling of chain are blocks,extrude,curve drivenp pattern and etc.

Foot pedel:
Foot pedal also known as Foot rest.It is attached to front of the bike frame at both sides. foot pedal provides suppourt and balence to the rider while riding the bike.Also it holds lever the of back break. below features are used to modeling the footpedal.

Oil tank:
Oil tank reserves the oil for bike needs. oil tank mounted on engine of chopper and attached to the chassis of the bike. Below features are followed to be modelled the oil tank.

Gas tank:
Gas tank also known as fuel tank. It is a safe container for flammable fluids. Inside the fuel tank fuel is stored and released into an engine.It also provides a secure area for the knees to grip while riding and maintain point of contact between bike and rider. The shape of fuel tank also plays vital role in how the bike looks like. While modeling the fuel tank below features are followed.

ASSEMBLY MODEL OF AMERICAN CHOPPER:
Final assembly of American chopper is finished by applying Mates to each individual part modelled in a proper manner.

FINEL RENDERING:
Rendering is the process of adding physical attributs and details,such as color,shading,texture and lamination .It creats realistic looks to the design.Solidworks visilize software is used for rendering.
