Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht
MODELLING AND ASSEMBLING OF SUNSEEKER PREDATOR YACHT
Objective:
The main objective is to produce a detailed model of different parts of blue prints and some given dimensions, and assembling the entire model.
Introduction:
- Solidworks software is a mechanical cad software which helps the designers to show their idea of a part or model in a realistic view in a virtual representation without actually producing a real part, which is so helpful to make corrections or to make new changes in the model easily before making a physical part product.
- In the process of modelling a sunseeker predator yacht we design apart or model by using initial 2d sketches, and then we turn them into 3d models using the tools like surface tools, featuring tools etc.,
DESIGN:
To design yacht I used the bottom up approach which defines that the components are created and assembled with proper mates. For design of yacht we use blueprint setup of the yacht.

HULL:
A hull is the watertightbody of a ship or boat. The hull may open at the top or it may be fully or partially covered with a deck. A top the deckhouse and other superstructures, such as a Radar mast. The line where the hull meets the water surface is called the waterline.

RADAR:
A radar marine device acts as a major navigation aid for boaters.it helps in detecting boats, birds, landmasses and weather system. It is a vital navigation component for safety at sea and near the shore.

PROPELLER:
Propeller blades displace water, to create the forces that move a boat forward. The basic propeller shaft creates the torque , or energy required to turn the blades. The displacement of water is that creates forces which move a boat forward.

There are three types of seats arranged in yacht. The front seat accommodated with two persons, middle seat accommodated with three persons , and rear seat is provide accommodated with more persons.

RADAR MAST:
A mast is a vertical ship structure mounted on top of bridge and forward of the forecastle towards the ship’s bow. It is the support platform for the ships derrick and hold necessary equipment’s such as radars, navigation light and ships horn in caseof foremast.

ASSEMBLY:
For assembling of yacht first we have to fix the hull portion then fix the super structure , radar mast, front seat, middle seat and rear seat gets mated automatically.
- For fixing of garage door we used coincident and concentric mates.
- Then fix propeller by using concentric and coincident mates.
- Then fix radar by using concentric and coincident mates.
- Then fix radar by using concentric and coincident mates.
RENDERING:
Photo view 360 is a solid Works add-in that produces photo-realistic renderings of solid works models. The rendered image incorporates the appearances, lighting, scene and decals included with the model.
CONCLUSION:
Thus the Project design, Assembly and photo-realistic rendering of an American predator yacht was modelled and rendered successfully.
