Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht

SURFACE MODELING OF YATCH

OBJECTIVE:

  • The objective of the project is used to creat surface model of different parts Of the yatch using solidworks

  • TO assemble all individual parts of the yatch model by assigning suitable constraints.

Introduction

The modelling of yatch involves 3 stages

  • Part modelling
  • Assembling of parts
  • scene rendering

The following parts of the yatch are modeled in solidworks and assembled together

  • Propeller
  • Radar
  • Blueprint
  • Hull
  • Garage door
  • Front seat
  • Middle seat
  • Rear seat
  • Super structure
  • Radar mast

1. propeller:

propller looks like a fan it is sumerged into the water.propller is the main component to navigate the yatch it moves forword and backword and it recives power from the engine

Features used to creat propeller

  • Sketch
  • Revolve
  • Cut Extrude
  • Loft
  • Fillet
  • Circular pattren

Sketch

Sketch is the two dimesnsional Representation of the model with respect to the plane from the outside of the moede

Revolve

Creat a sketch that contains one or more profiles and a centerline or edge to use as the axis around which the feature revolves

Circular Pattren

Circular pattren is used to creat a pattren of yhe propeller by the using this multiple patterns are created

Loft

Lofts are surface generated by multiple 3D curves or existing edges creating a smooth tangency between the selected curve

2. Radar

Marine radars are the best collision avoidance system ever developed for the recreational boater

Features used to creat Radar

  • Sketch
  • Extrude
  • Mirror
  • Cut Extrude
  • Fillet
  • Sketch driven pattern

Extrude cut

Extrude cut is another coll feature which helps to remove materials from the 3D model

Mirror

By using mirror face with a mid plane selected only the chosen face within the revolve will be mirrored

3. Hull

A Hull is the watertight body of a ship or boat the hull may open at the top or it may be fully or partially covered with a deck

Features used to create hull

  • Sketch
  • Project curve
  • Swept Surface
  • Loft surface
  • Extrude Surface
  • Extend Surface
  • Surface Knit
  • Extrude
  • Mirror
  • Cut Extrude
  • Fillet
  • Pattern
  • Split
  • Shell

4. Garage Door

Garage Door is used to closse the garage part of the hull

Features used to creat Garage Door

  • Insert
  • Shell
  • Text
  • Split

5. Front seat

Front seat is placed on the front part of the Hull

Features used to creat front seat

  • Sketch
  • Project curve
  • Swept surface
  • Loft surface
  • Rule surface
  • Extend Surface
  • Extrude
  • Mirror
  • Cut Extrude
  • Fillet
  • Pattern

6. Middle Seat

Middle seat is placed under the superstructure

Features used to creat middle seat

  • Sketch
  • Extrude
  • Chamfer
  • Fillet

7. Rear Seat

Rear seat is placed back top back side of the hull

Features used to creat Rear seat

  • Sketch
  • Project Curve
  • Swept Surface
  • Loft Surface
  • Rule Surface
  • Extend Surface
  • Surface Knit
  • Extrude
  • Mirror
  • Cut Extrude
  • Fillet
  • Pattern
  • Super Structure

8. Super Structure

Features used to creat Super Structure

  • Sketch
  • Project curve
  • Swept curve
  • Loft Surface
  • Extrude Surface
  • Extend Surfaace
  • Fill Surface
  • Surface Knit
  • Surface Trim
  • Delete Surface
  • Extrude
  • Mirror
  • Cut Extrude
  • Fillet
  • Pattren
  • Split

9. Radar Mast

Features used to creat Radar Mast

  • Sketch
  • Extrude
  • Revolve
  • Sweep
  • Cut Extrude
  • Fillet

10. Assembly

  • The parts of the Yatch are inserted into the assembly environment
  • The possible mate condition are given to the Yatch and the Yatch is assembly

Conclusion

  • The parts of the Yatch are modeled
  • The parts are inserted into the assembly environment and the yatch is assembled
