Project - Speed Control of a Direct Current (DC) motor

Project:

Use the Proportional, Integral, and Derivative (PID) control design knowledge gained in the training to design, develop and test a controller to maintain a desired speed for the motor.

Ans:

1.using a step block speed of 50 is taken as reference

2.first a model similar to the one shown in lecture is developed

3.a PID controller is developed to regulate the speed of a dc motor

4.by using a sum block we can get the actual speed and compare with the reference

5.for the values of m,k,Kp,Kd,Ki a seperate script is created and attached

6.using place command we developped kp, kd

7.but ki is taken as 50 to met settling time, overshoot and study state error

8.by double clicking on scope we can verify the result
