Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1) generator, battery, ignition coil, current and voltage regulator, starter, food selector switch, distributor, parking lamp, gas tank, ammeter, ignition switch, scaled beam, horn, tail stop, fuel level meter,dome light, junction block, dome light switch, stop light switch,horn button,fuse and breaker
2) Generator:
- Generator is a machine that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy purpose of generator to produce AC electrical power
- The spark ignites an explosion in the chamber that the rest of the generator turns into mechanical energy. Electricity generation: Ignition causes the gases to expand, pushing the piston down with enough force to turn the crankshaft, which then spins the rotor.
Battery:
- battery is used to store chemical energy and release electricity on demand
- The chemical reactions in a battery involve the flow of electrons from one material (electrode) to another, through an external circuit. The flow of electrons provides an electric current that can be used to do work
Ammeter:
- Ammeter, instrument for measuring either direct (DC) or alternating (AC) electric current, in amperes.
- The principle of ammeter is based on the magnetic effect of current, its principle is that the resistance and inductive reactance must be low. Ammeter consists of a coil of wire and a fixed permanent magnet. Hence an ammeter can never be connected in a parallel line
3) The fuse rating is 15A
4) given:
Load (P)=500W
Battery voltage=12V
Power (P)=V*Ah
500=12*Ah
Ah=500/12
Battery capacity Ah=41.7Ah
So I recommend 12V and 50Ah capacity battery
5) parking lights are connected in parallel. if both are connected in series and one of them stop working then other akso Stop working
6)fuse connected in series with other elements like horn,tail stop and parking lights, etc
Fuses are always connected in series with the components to be protected from overcurrent, so that when the fuse blows (opens) it will open the entire circuit and stop current through the components
