Project 5

10 Cells connected in series SOC, current, voltage, and aging thermal effects are shown

Blocks Used:

Pulse generator,10 batteries, voltage, and current measurement, coulomb counting subsystem.

Parameters used for Design:

Pulse Generator:

The below parameters are used to generate pulses.

Battery parameters

we use 10 batteries with a nominal voltage of 7.2 and capacity 5.4Ah and select aging effect and temperature simulation.

To know the current and voltage across the battery pack we connect resistance across it. And the simulation of the blocks used are

The voltage across 10 cells =73.8 V and the current flowing through the resistor is 73.8A.

Coulomb Counting for SOC:

To find SOC below block is used.SOC =1/C∫ i(t) dt where c is total capacity i(t) = current

and capacity c =5.4*3600 which c is capacity 5.4Ah

After running the simulation for time 1*10-6 we get the SOC of the battery pack.

* Battery is discharging as time increases

SOC, current, voltage, and the maximum capacity of the cell is.

*SOC decreases with increasing time current from the pulse generator and also voltage decrease from an increase in time

*Maximum Capacity of Battery is 5.6Ah.
